Southern Fulmar

The bird shown above was found beach washed by Bea Myers and Ian Tarbin (the wardens of the Eyre Bird Observatory) on Kanidal Beach at the Eyre Bird Observatory on Saturday 29th September 2003.

It has been identified by Mike Carter from Melbourne as a Southern Fulmar which is rarely recorded in Western Australia.
