Birds Australia WA Projects

Birds Australia Western Australia is involved in a number of projects for the monitoring and conservation of birds in Western Australia.  The use of our members as volunteers in these projects is critical, and we encourage you to become involved and to discover more about the birds of Western Australia.

Western Ground Parrot Project
The Western Ground Parrot is one of Western Australia's most endangered species.  BAWA has secured funding from Lotterywest to survey for this species in remote parts of its range. You can ensure the future of this critically endangered species by assisting with field surveys or becoming a Friend Of The Western Ground Parrot.
