Birds Australia Observatories in Western Australia

Birds Australia supports four bird observatories and two former stations in Australia.  Two of the observatories are located in Western Australia.

The first observatory established in Australia at the top of the Great Australian Bight was the Eyre Bird Observatory at the old telegraph station near Cocklebiddy south of the Nullarbor Plain. For a copy of the Eyre Bird Observatory brochure in PDF format, click here.

The other bird observatory in Western Australia is the Broome Bird Observatory on the shores of Roebuck Bay near Broome in the south west Kimberley.
